Job Description:
HRM Homecare is on the lookout for a reliable Accounting Officer to join our Finance team in Kilmarnock. This is a full-time, office-based role (Mon-Fri, 9–5) with a competitive £30,000 salary.
You’ll be helping with billing and invoicing, managing accounts, supporting payroll input, handling reconciliations, assisting the Finance Manager, and generally keeping the numbers in line. You’ll also help improve systems and step up when needed.
Duties:
The duties of our Carers may include but are not limited to:
Prepare and issue accurate invoices and billing documentation
Maintain sales and purchase ledgers
Perform bank, supplier, and account reconciliations
Support payroll processing and data input
Assist the Finance Manager with month-end and reporting tasks
Monitor outstanding payments and follow up where required
Maintain accurate financial records and filing systems
Use Sage Line 50 and Excel for daily accounting tasks
Identify process improvements and support system changes
Provide cover and general support across the finance team when needed

Able to demonstrate good written and oral skills displaying confidence, assertiveness, professionalism with regards to ensuring clarity and understanding of advice that may be given to others.
