BETTER EFFICIENCY AND SAFETY FOR ALL HRM SUPPORT WORKES AND SERVICE USERS

HRM Homecare has installed an electronic call monitoring system which will improve efficiency and safety among both service users and support workers.

This system will ensure that not only will its lone worker safety improve dramatically, but the system will also alert us immediately if any member of staff is unable to attend a visit or is delayed for a visit, allowing us to react quickly. This will reduce the risk of any service user not receiving their care, which is of the utmost importance to us as the health and wellbeing of service users and our support workers is our priority.

This system works as a clocking in system, when HRM support workers arrive and leave a home, they will call a FREE PHONE number using the service users phone- at NO COST to anyone.  The telephone number is linked to our system and when the call is received it will identify the address.  This will link into the HRM monitoring system alerting the system of their arrival and departure.  It will also alert HRM care co-ordinators if they have not arrived and allowing the care co-ordinators to investigate and ensure that every action is taken to make sure they receive their care service.

The system is linked with our current rostering system and the caller will allow the phone to ring for two rings and then hang up. As the system is an “unanswered call system” no charge for the call will be incurred, every call will be free.  The system automatically indentifies the number and links this to the service users or the support worker as necessary.

We plan to launch this new system gradually by area, starting within the next week. We would like to assure everyone involved with this that if they have any concerns or questions we can arrange a member of our team to visit with you to explain how the system works in more detail.
