Home Care Support Worker- HRM Bank Worker

Hours: Flexible Rate: £10.90 p/h + Mileage

Job Description:

HRM Homecare are currently looking for reliable and passionate Carers, who have a keen interest in making a difference in their local community. This role will include at least 2 weekends or a minimum of six shifts, including at least 1 weekend per month. We would ask that your availability is provided one month in advance on a rolling basis. The role of our Carers is to provide help and encouragement to individuals in order to empower them to be in control of their own life and live as comfortably as possible in their own homes. You will deliver quality care to our service users through daily tasks such as washing, dressing, toileting and meal-preparation, among other tasks. Further responsibilities of our Carers may include, light housekeeping, accompanying service users to appointments and social events or companionship, all while building a warm yet professional relationship.

Duties:

The duties of our Carers may include but are not limited to:

  • Washing and dressing Service Users.

  • Providing personal care such as catheter care, stoma care and toileting.

  • Meal preparation.

  • Social and emotional support as required.

  • Medication.

  • Assisting with light housekeeping tasks.

  • Companionship.

  • Co-operation with relevant health and social care providers.

You Must:

  • Be a friendly, kind and compassionate individual with a genuine desire to care for other.

  • Have a willingness to learn and develop

  • Have Excellent communication skills

  • Be reliable

  • Live the HRM Values

Preferable:

  • Have a full UK driving license with access to your own vehicle.
